Prevent Pre-Term Labor With One Simple Trick…

Pre term labor, resulting in a premature baby, is something that you want to avoid.  There can be lifelong disabilities for those born too early, not to mention the emotional and financial costs that come along with prematurity.

What if I told you there is one simple and free way to prevent this heartbreaking complication?

New research says that getting enough vitamin D in pregnancy is one way you can prevent pre term labor.  Some studies suggest that a minimum of 4000 IU's of vitamin D per day is all you need, but other studies suggest that 10,000 IU is the amount you want to get.  Either way, getting more vitamin D is easy.  Only 20-30 minutes of direct sunlight per day supplies you with approximately 10,000 IU of vitamin D.  So, throw aside the sunscreen and sunglasses and get your daily dose of sun!

Don't live in an area where sunlight is that plentiful?  You could also supplement with the second best source of vitamin D – fish oil.  There are many varieties on the market that don't have that fishy after taste.  Barlean's is one brand I highly recommend to avoid any negative taste.
